The Pennyrile Board of Realtors was formed in 1976.  Organized under the National Association of Realtors, the affiliation  allowed local  licensed real estate agents to begin to work together toward the common goal of contributing to the process of real estate ownership transfer through uniformity, responsibility and high standards.   The organization represents the REALTOR members in Trigg, Lyon, Caldwell and Crittenden counties of western Kentucky.


In 2002, the Organization joined with 4 additional Western Kentucky Boards and formed the Western Kentucky Regional Multiple Listing Service.   This facilitated each member being able to advertise  and display to the public each listing of each MLS member.

Membership in the local Multiple Listing Service and the National Association of Realtors has allowed members to better serve their clients on, the general public and to interact with other REALTORS in a consistent and beneficial manner     .
